This can vary with each business, but once a year  is the usual period for refreshing design, as opposed to content - which normally requires more frequent review.

How often should site updates occur ? 
Depends on the type of business - is it seasonal or fashion related? - This should be discussed, though four times a year is a usual minimum, to keep both users and search engines interested.

If I want to upgrade a product or service, can I?
Yes. If you are an E-Spot e-commerce client , you will have access to your Miva e-store to add, delete or amend any product, as well as delivery costs or almost any other parameter.
Non-e-commerce clients will normally use The-E-Spot on an 'as-and-when-required' basis for regular or ocassional upgrades. This is charged at a set rate by the hour, and estimated on an individual basis, for approval in advance.

Will I receive access to traffic analysis ?
Business hosted clients and Miva E-commerce clients will have this facility on their web-based E-Spot Control Panels.
Click on 'Web reporting' and request a Webalizer graphic traffic report.
Clients hosted elsewhere would need to use a web traffic analysis company or software to acquire their own reports. Please ask for more details on latest options.

How do  I maximise my web site potential?
Initially, The E-Spot will optimise and submit free submissions to the main directories (up to 4) as part of the new web site project. Beyond this, it is for you to decide how aggressively you wish to promote your site. And whether you will do this 'in-house', or use us - or a combination of both. 

Please ask for details of the latest options. Either way, all your traditional marketing MUST support your site - all stationery, advertising, mailings etc..

Are there any grants available for a business web site?
Yes there are granys available - for the site design, and, in some cases other marketing costs. It depends on whether you are based in an eligible area. Please enquire for details of contacts.

What is a Merchant Account?
A merchant account is a commercial bank account established your business and a bank, which enables your business to accept credit card payments from your customers. This increases your credibility and your selling potential, and customers find it convenient.

Apply to your bank or on-line merchant company, It can take between 5 and 20 days to set up.
